Instructions

1. Clicking on the map does a search for all Towns and Villages within a 3km radius.
2. We will then show you those places which appear in the lyrics of songs.
3. You can change the search radius and the type of places searched by clicking the 'cog' settings button to the left.
4. You can go to any place in the world using the search button to the left.
5. If we find a place which is mentioned in song lyrics then we grab the song and bind it to that place.
6. You will see place names marked with bouncing musical notes to show the ones in Lyrics.
7. The number of recordings found which mention that place is shown in brackets.
8. Clicking on a place icon opens a pop up showing the list of songs which mention that place. plus the artist and the year it was recorded.
9. Click on a recording title to reveal the lyrics and images of the artist, the album, written information about the artist, and (usually) a 30sec sound preview of the song.
10. Go ahead and click around. And remember to create an account if you want to save your findings for next time or share them with a friend. Its all free.
